#168 – SOPHIE T-Shirt

I am going to be honest with you – this is currently an incomplete project. I felt so terrible because this was supposed to be a test crochet, and I totally dropped the ball. However, this pattern is so cute that I thought it still deserved a share!

  • 3 skeins of Caron Simply Soft – a worsted weight (4) yarn (Colour A: Autumn Red)
  • 1 skein of Caron Simply Soft – a worsted weight (4) yarn (Colour B: Off White)
  • Size H (5.00 mm) hook
  • Size J (6.00 mm) hook

What can I say? I really enjoy the boxy look of this top that keeps it casual and chic. It’s certainly much more wearable than my crop tops in every day life, but I do wonder about worsted weight yarn for a t-shirt. It might start to feel a little warm, especially if you choose an acrylic or wool yarn.

One thing that I really love about this pattern is that it’s so customizable! Instead of counting stitches, Courtney has you measuring to see if it’s the right size for you, which is really neat. I know that size inclusivity can be hard in the crochet / knitting world, so it’s nice to have these easily modifiable patterns for all body types.

I did end up paying for this pattern as I didn’t feel entitled to the free version I had received as a tester, but I still feel horrible that I missed this deadline. I’m actually due to start my first “adult” job next week, and in the craziness of finishing up my thesis and getting paperwork sorted out, crafting had to take a back seat. I am hoping that this is not a sign of things to come as I get my feet under me, but we’ll see!

Until next time, happy crafting!
