For those of you with sharp memories, you may remember that my coworkers and I made gnome ornaments together last year for our staff Christmas party. This year, we ended up doing another craft workshop! We were hosted at Our Social, an adorable retail store/co-working space, and made the cutest keychain wristlet with the help of a local company, Journey Tree.

So I know that I missed the boat with Rainbow Loom which had its heyday in 2013, but this was the first time I actually got to try doing it! My babysitting kids have been really into it, and I can definitely see the appeal.

Confession: I’m a sucker for personalization. I love the idea of being able to customize things to reflect your own story and so things like Pandora really appeal to me. However, sometimes I find the standard Pandora bracelet a bit much to wear with a casual outfit, especially if I’m already wearing a watch and the charms keep clinking against the watch face. Therefore, I like to get creative with the charms so that I can add my own twist!
#12 – Twist Bracelet
This week I wanted to challenge myself to create something new again, so here is my second original pattern! This little guy is a great way to use up some of those mini leftover yarn balls, as well as create a cute accessory that is great for gifting or keeping for yourself!
#2 – “Wings” Friendship Bracelet
I learned how to make my first friendship bracelet when I was 12 or so. Of course, it wasn’t half as fancy as this one – just a simple diagonal pattern was about all I could handle. Still, the nice thing about friendship bracelets is that once you learn the two knots, you can make anything!
