Last year, I made a cross-stitch of the Edmonton skyline from a kit, and I mentioned that I wanted to make one for each city I lived in. I’m so excited to share that I’ve finally done it! It took me a second to think about what I would want in the skyline of Dawson Creek since there aren’t any skyscrapers or tall office buildings, but I hope and think that I’ve managed to catch the essence of the city.

Now that I’m not currently living there, I sometimes experience these waves of nostalgia for Edmonton, so I’ve been thinking for a while about how I would like to pay tribute to the city in craft form. To be honest, I’ve had a crush on this kit since it debuted in June 2017 and I’m ecstatic to finally cross it off my list.

A year or so ago, a pair of Edmonton best friends launched Made Social, with the idea that friends could get together, craft, eat dessert, and just enjoy being together. I love that. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to actually attend any sessions yet. When they announced that they would have some kits that people could do at home with a friend, I knew I had to get my hands on a set.
