I love love love receiving anything handwritten. Whether it’s letters, birthday cards, or anything in between, they instantly gain a special spot in my heart. Postcards are even more special because it means that someone was thinking of me, even while they were on vacation, and that feeling is so precious.

Like many of my other posts, there’s really no “right” way to do this. The messages I have received have been whimsical; sometimes they tell me about food they ate, and other times they’ll mention landmarks they saw that day. I love reading about these little adventures, even if they often arrive in my mailbox long after my friends have returned from their trips.

I’ve started using these postcards as decoration in my room, and they remind me of some of the places in the world that I can’t wait to explore. I like this option more than a map or globe, since there’s more of a personal feel to it! The only awkward thing that I have to mention is that I’ve never actually written a postcard to anyone before. I think I’ll definitely have to look into that the next time I travel, so if you’ve ever wanted some international mail, just let me know and I’ll be sure to send you something!
