#147 – Cherry Blossom

When I was packing for this trip, my friends kept on teasing me about the amount of yarn I had packed away in my backpack, but I knew that between the plane rides and train trips I would want something to keep me busy.

  • 1/100 skeins of Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash — a worsted (4) weight yarn (Colour A: Peach)
  • 1/100 skeins of Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash — a worsted (4) weight yarn (Colour B: Silver Grey)
  • Size G (4.00 mm) hook

I had checked the hook size recommendation for all the yarn I brought, and I settled on only bringing one hook, so that was the real determiner for what I did with this pattern. It ended up working well with these cherry blossoms, and I think that these could be so cute as a chain of flowers for room decor!

I’m a little sad that I won’t get to see the cherry blossoms in Japan this trip, but I figured it just means that I’ll have to come back to Japan another time. There are so many things to see and do in this country, and in every city I’ve seen so far, I’ve wished that I could’ve had more time to wander and explore.

Until next time, happy crafting!
