My mom asked me if I would be interested in donating some items for a silent auction, and I knew I wanted to make some sort of amigurumi. After browsing through Ravelry, I settled on these super cute jellyfish!

#123 – Amigurumi Clothing
I’m always impressed by the detail that goes into some of the crochet dolls out there, and when I found this amigurumi pattern that came with clothing, I knew I had to try it! To seal the deal, the clothes fit a super cute little pig.
#121 – Giraffe
As a follow-up to the Goat, I was also asked to make a standing giraffe! These standing amigurumi are a lot of fun to design, as well as a bit different from the typical amigurumi out there, so I’d love to try make more animals like this in the future!
#118 – Goat
After I made the Chinese New Year Dogs for my mom, a couple of her colleagues asked if I could make a few more custom items, and one of the first requests was for a little mountain goat! She wanted to be standing up, which was a new challenge for me.
#115 – CNY Beagle
I’m a little late to the party, but it was Chinese New Year on Friday (February 16, 2018), and this year is the Year of the Dog! I knew that I wanted to make something for this, especially since I am also a Dog in the Chinese Zodiac.
#95 – Harry Potter Polar Bear
One of the things I love most about the online crochet community is the atmosphere of collaboration and support. I have so much respect for the creativity of other makers, and I love it whenever I can be a part of that! When Holly, from Storyland Amis, asked me if I would be willing to pattern test for her again, I was overjoyed.
#89 – #toysforsyrianrefugeechildren
I’m not sure if anyone has actually ever picked up on this, but my Inspiration posts typically run on the third Tuesday of each month. I screwed up this month, but I think the thoughtfulness of this week more than makes up for this late post! This was inspired by the project that Justine at Chubby Knots is working on, as she is trying to send 500 toys to Syrian refugee children living in Lebanon this Christmas.
#85 – Chipmunk Head
Whenever I go camping, I always see chipmunks, so even though they’re not “Canadian” the same way a beaver or a loon is, there’s something about chipmunks that echoes nature and Canada to me.
#75 – Sloth
One of my favourite things about the crochet community is connecting with other people through social media! Ever since I saw Holly (@storyland_amis) and her 100 amigurumi countdown, I knew that she was an exceptional crochet designer. When she posted on Instagram asking for pattern testers for her cuddle-sized Zippy the Sloth, I jumped at the opportunity.
#74 – Mini Crab
Having just come back from the beach, I am filled with a new fondness for the beach and sea creatures! While I didn’t actually see any (live) crabs, I still wanted to make one, mostly because I feel like they are cuter in crochet form than they are in real life.
