I’m not sure if you’re familiar with the story of Sadako and the thousand paper cranes, but I heard it as a child, and it really made an impression on me. For one, it stuck out to me as a plea for peace in an imperfect world, but for another, it spoke to me about hope.

#70 – Star Jars
I was feeling quite nostalgic this week, so I thought I’d throw it back to something I used to do a lot in elementary school! My friends and I used to fold origami stars a lot, and when we got a little older, we realized that if we filled glass jars with them, they made for excellent gifts and decor!

#22 – 3D Origami Monkey
If you guys remember the 3D Origami Pig I showed here a few months ago, then you’ll see the clear similarities to this monkey here! This one was also from a kit by the same company, and it was just as easy to use as the pig!

I don’t know about you, but I definitely had an origami phase when I was younger. In elementary school, our teacher showed us a new book about 3-D origami, and I thought it was so neat how these little pieces could come together to make something so intricate!
