When I learned that Edmonton was going to be getting Oomomo, a Japanese-style dollar store, I was overjoyed. I’ve only ever been to Daiso, a different franchise that sells everything from notebooks to seaweed stampers to everything in between, but I’m hoping that the two stores will be similar enough so that Oomomo will carry crochet supplies like Daiso does!
So ever since I started this blog, I’ve been trying to visit local yarn shops whenever I travel. Luckily, my travel companions have been pretty accommodating so far, even when I spend way too much time gushing over the selection once I get inside. On my latest trip to Los Angeles, the local yarn I picked up was by In the Deep Hue Sea!
Thanks to the wonder of the Internet, I’ve discovered that there is so much more to yarn than what is in stock at the local Michaels, and one of my favourite finds is definitely TopKnot Style! She gets her yarn made specifically for her business, and when I found out that she was making her custom yarn available for purchase, I knew I had to get in on that somehow.
I’ve never been keen for online shopping, but when I realized that I could be ordering yarn online, that was a game-changer.
Ever since my friend helped me to re-design my logo, I’ve been dying to order custom tags that I can use on some of my creations!
