#57 – Bunny Rabbit

As I mentioned last week, my aunt and uncle chose their Chinese Zodiac animals, which meant a rabbit and a monkey respectively. I decided to design the monkey myself, but when I saw how cute this bunny pattern was, I knew that this would be the perfect choice!

  • 1/20 skein of Premier Yarns Cotton Fair – a fine weight (2) yarn (above: Cream)
  • 10g Loops and Threads Classic Fiber Fill
  • 2 safety eyes (7.5mm)
  • 2.00 mm hook

I love the way that Stephanie designs her amigurumi as she is so consistent in giving them an air of cute-ness. The only thing I changed was to use a lighter weight yarn, which makes the stitches look a little bit smaller and neater. I would definitely recommend keeping the fabric detailing, as it is a huge part of what makes these bunnies so adorable!

I was so happy to carry it over to my monkey. I think it helped to add a sense of continuity to the two animals, since I’ve noticed that each person designs amigurumi with their own style. Don’t the monkey and rabbit look so cute together?
